SAA Club Championships begin

The Club Championship kicks of this weekend at the Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch on Sunday.

Maties are looking to get their hands on a thirteenth Championship trophy. The Varsity team have been doing very well in the Super League, they top the log and have only lost one game. Coach Chean Roux say this tournmaent will be a learning curve as many of his players are in experienced and playing in their first Championship.

The other Cape Town team involved in the tournament is SK Walmers who are currently second in the league. SK face Tukkies in their first game. The Pretoria side are one of the favourites in the competition. However Roux says with the way SK have been performing it will not be a surprise if they beat Tukkies.
